I'm anxious to watch this series, which is a remake of the original 2001 Argentine TV series broadcasted by TELEFE. "Los simuladores" was a blockbuster program at a moment that Argentina was in a great economic collapse. The series tried to reflect that indirectly.
The Argentine leading actors were also the series creators, and they came with this idea because they were unemployed.
The format rights were also sold to Spain, where they produced their own version a couple of years ago. Italy, Russia and the United States also bought format rights, and South American countries broadcasted the Argentine version several years ago. (I imagine that these former unemployed actors might be rich by now!)
It was a good move to wait some years before coming with a new version.
The opening sequence music -which remained in the Iberian version- is not other than Astor Piazzola .
